Being Taught From My Gambling Blunders

First to clarify the reason I wrote this essay. I have been betting online or at a brick and mortar casinos for a great many years. I have learned, the addiction can grab a hold of you and you will not even notice it up until you are bankrupt. Especially if you’re on a winning streak. I have gone through many tens of thousands of dollars in a very tiny period of time and still on occasion, I will go a bit too far. It appears you’re just having a blast until you decide to be aware of your losses and the anguish settles in, and then you keep telling yourself "I can get it back" repeatedly. It doesn’t works. Then you feel sick in your stomach and the more you try the quicker you lose.

When you see that you’re up, STAY on the UP! When you start to lose, don’t tell yourself, "well perhaps one more" and again and again, believe me, this plan hardly ever works. Say you are playing on slot games, have an amount set aside prior to starting your play. Don’t go over that limit, regardless how appealing. If you happen to succeed, put that in a different canister. Don’t risk your winnings no matter what. As soon as you have gambled through your original set limit, call it a day. Head out, whether it’s on the net or at a brick and mortar casino, do not stick around. Always keep in mind, there will be another day, a different time.

Always remember, gambling is supposed to be exciting not exhausting, nauseating work! If you aren’t having fun yourself, you don’t belong there. If youcan’t manage the cost, don’t even start.
